Proprietary stuff like Java runtime, Adobe Flash Player or bunch of codecs like MP3 cannot be part of Fedora distribution by default – This is necessary from the legal point of view and thus totally acceptable.
Simultaneously this is the biggest “pain in the ass” for the newbie Fedora users.

The easiest way to get all this stuff, without a lot of googling and installing a lot of third party repositories is to use an easyLife tool.
